Компьютерная система в США для внебиржевой торговли ценными бумагами, которая начала действовать с 8 февраля 1971 г., когда она стала первой торговой системой без рыночного, торгового помещения, основывающейся на экранных данных. Сейчас она является вторым по размерам рынком ценных бумаг США; стоимость обращающих акций в 1991 г. составила 694 000 млн. дол. В 1992 г. Система имела 425 активно действующих “делателей рынка”, а средний показатель “делателей рынка” на одну ценную бумагу составлял 10,5. Она имела 179 939 терминалов в США и примерно 25 453 терминала в Канаде, Швейцарии, Великобритании, Германии и Франции (см.: NASDAQ International (Международная служба Системы автоматической котировки Национальной ассоциации биржевых дилеров)). Система послужила основой для Электронной системы информации о ценах (SEAQ) на Лондонской фондовой бирже (London Stock Exchange).
